A couple of months ago when Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy Note5, the company brought bad news for potential customers in Europe. Probably looking for a more in-focus promotional campaign for the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, the manufacturer decided not to launch the Galaxy Note5 in Europe, much to the dismay of long-time fans of the supersized Galaxy Note series.
While some customers have already turned to alternative solutions, such as importing a dual-SIM model from Asia through various channels, this path may lead to a painful warranty administration process and carrier compatibility problems.
As it turns out, however, it looks like Samsung's ban on the Galaxy Note5 in Europe might not be definitive. According to a Romanian tech blog, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note5 in Europe as early as January 2016. This would be an interesting timing given that the December holiday shopping season a huge driver for smartphone sales.
The blog quotes unofficial sources close to Samsung's Romanian branch. Since this report is not joined by any sort hard evidence, make sure to digest this info with a dose of cold hard skepticism.
